Goals & Objectives
To enhance the educational, patient care and research activities of AHS in the field of Primary Care by:
- Assisting the Board of AHS in expanding headache educational programs for primary care practitioners.
- Assisting the Board of AHS in expanding headache educational programs for primary care physicians in training.
- Encouraging studies of headache in primary care practice.
- Encouraging studies by enhancing the standards of headache diagnosis in primary care practice by adapting the IHS diagnostic system for use in primary care practice and testing any modifications thereof.
- Encouraging the study of the evolution and prevention of chronic daily headache in primary care practice.
- Increasing the volume of AHS published materials dealing specifically with headache problems in primary care.
- Increasing collegial relationships with primary care educational organizations (AAFP, STFM, etc.) for the purpose of adding to the headache content of their CME educational programs at national, state and local levels.
- Exploring and developing the use of the internet for consultation educational and research purposes in Primary Care.
