The American Headache Society® (AHS) is pleased to offer the Chronic Migraine Education Program (CMEP) at no cost to healthcare professionals. This interactive educational program is designed to update physicians on the diagnosis, epidemiology, pathology, and treatment of chronic migraine. During this program, attendees will have the opportunity to review the most recent classification criteria on how to differentiate chronic migraine from other headache disorders. Recent studies on brainstem mechanisms believed to be activated in patients with migraine will be reviewed. The latest evidence-based clinical studies on treatment for chronic migraine will be assessed. Throughout this course, there will be case-based discussion on managing the patient with chronic migraine or diagnosing patient with other headache disorders that might be confused as chronic migraine.
